Hair loss and growth-

This article is published in another site and this is a copy of that -
http://flip.it/pJye2g
When it comes to preventing hair loss or improving the hair that someone already has, there are plenty of natural methods that help.
There are a variety of home remedies that people use to try and regrow their hair. However, it is important to remember that research to support such methods is not always extensive.

Massage

A study conducted in Japan showed that scalp massage could increase hair thickness. The men involved in the study had regular massages over a 24-week period, and while hair growth rate did not improve, thickness improved significantly.
Researchers believe that this could be to do with increased blood flow and direct stimulation of the cells.

Nutrition

While hair loss can be affected by nutrient deficiency, the exact links between diet and hair loss are complicated:
  • Iron: Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world and is a known cause of hair loss. Women experiencing perimenopause and menopause are at risk of iron deficiency, as are vegans, vegetarians, and people with certain conditions, such as celiac disease. In a study on mice, the reversal of iron deficiency also leads to the restoration of hair growth.
  • Zinc: Zinc deficiency has a direct link with brittle hair, and increasing zinc levels also leads to the regrowth of hair. However, researchers do not know whether zinc supplementation would help those without diagnosed zinc deficiency.
  • Fatty acids: A deficiency in essential fatty acids can lead to hair loss on the scalp and eyebrows.

It is important to remember that there is a lack of research on the role of supplementation. Researchers do not know whether supplements will prevent hair loss in people that do not have nutrient deficiencies.
In fact, the over supplementation of certain nutrients, such as vitamin A, vitamin E, and selenium, can lead to hair loss.

Stress

There appears to be a direct link between stress and hair loss. Likewise, a shock to the system, be that through physical or emotional trauma, can also act as a shock to the hair follicles and they can stop growing.
In some cases, the use of red ginseng, which can be taken as a supplement, has been shown to promote hair growth.
Exactly why this happens is unclear, although researchers think it could be because of indirect stimulation of the hair follicles.
Before taking any supplements, it is important to ensure that they won't interact with any medication or existing conditions.

Fatty acid

The omega-6 fatty acid arachidonic acid has been shown to promote hair growth by helping to speed up the production of the follicles.

Viviscal

This natural hair growth supplement was shown to promote hair growth in women experiencing temporary thinning. However, a further study also showed its ability to decrease hair loss.

Geranium oil

The use of geranium oil as a treatment significantly promotes hair growth and can prevent hair loss. People can apply it by mixing a few drops into a shampoo or conditioner.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is widely used to treat damaged hair of various types. It significantly reducesthe protein loss in both damaged and undamaged hair as it can penetrate the hair shaft.
Coconut oil can be used as a pre-wash and a post-wash wash hair product.

Aloe vera

The use of aloe vera as a treatment for a variety of different things has been traced back as far as 6,000 years ago in Ancient Egypt.
One such treatment is for hair loss, and evidence has shown it has a soothing effect on the skin that can help alleviate certain conditions.

Rosemary oil

Using rosemary oil for at least 6 months has been shown in a study to increase hair count. However, many of the group experienced scalp itching as a side effect.

Hair loss treatment-Onion Juice is best for hair fall, alopecia. Natural Hair conditioner

Ayurvedic Remedies For Hair Growth & Avoid Hair Loss
Onion juice, when applied to the scalp increases catalase levels on the skins surface, reducing the buildup of hydrogen peroxide and boosting hair health.
Few research results found that just after four weeks of using onion juice, 74% of individuals with alopecia areata (extreme medical case where the immune system forces hair fall) experienced significant hair regrowth. Within six weeks of using onion juice, 84% of the individuals were reported to have hair regrowth.

Loosing 50 to 100 strands of hair a day is perfectly normal. If it exceeds  you’ll notice bald patches and thinning of the hair. This condition is known as alopecia.
Here are natural herbal remedies to facilitating hair growth.

Onion and garlic
Ayurveda for Hair Fall: 10 Ayurveda Tips to Reduce Hair FallSulphur increase collagen production, which in turn promotes hair growth. Onion and garlic are great sources of sulphur, and this is why they have been used for decades as traditional hair conditioners. All you do is chop the onion, squeeze the juice and apply it to the scalp. Leave for 15 minutes then rinse with mild shampoo. With garlic, you fine chop some cloves, mix with coconut oil and boil for a few minutes. When the mixture has cooled off, apply to your scalp. For optimum results, repeat the treatment twice a week.
Coconut
Coconut comes with a variety of ingredients that naturally condition and promote hair growth. Coconut contains proteins, minerals and essential fats that help reduce hair breakage. Coconut oil also contains ingredients that strengthen hair follicles and roots. Regular use of this treatment will strengthen your hair and reduce hair loss. Just cut open a coconut, squeeze the milk and mix with a little water before gently applying to areas where you notice thinning and balding. Rinse off with water the next morning.
Henna
Widely known in Asia as a natural herbal remedy for strengthening hair and maintaining its color. It works even better when combined with mustard oil.
Hibiscus
Hibiscus and coconut are major components in strengthening the hair. Hibiscus contains several rejuvenating properties that nourish the hair, prevent dandruff and prevent the formation of premature grey hair. Regular use of these flowers will also mitigate hair loss.Use hibiscus flowers and mix with coconut oil to form a paste. Apply to the hair and leave for a few hours, then rinse off.
Amla
Amla is rich vitamin C and antioxidants, making the ideal solution for hair loss. Not only is it good for the hair, but when consumed it can bring about several benefits to the body. Crush the fruit and mix it with lime. Mix the two and apply to the scalp and leave to dry. Rinse with warm water.
Egg
Eggs are also an excellent source of sulphur and other minerals such as iron, phosphorus, zinc, selenium and iodine. These minerals promote hair growth more especially when mixed with olive oil. Mix the egg white with olive oil and apply to the scalp. Leave for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water.
Hair loss is normally attributed to a poor diet or inadequate hair care. Make sure to eat a well balanced diet with all the minerals essential for good hair growth. Also avoid harsh chemicals that may reduce the lifespan of your hair.

Other methods are useful also-
-tea made from Burdock and Marmelos (Bilva) is good for dry hair.
