How To Steer Clear of Glyphosate in Foods

Glyphosate contamination cannot be removed by washing (it is absorbed into the plant while it’s growing). It also is not broken down by cooking or baking.
In order to avoid glyphosate in food, follow the pointers below:

1. Always Look for Non-GMO Project Verified

If you’re purchasing a processed food item (that is, something boxed, bagged or canned), you can make sure it doesn’t contain GMO ingredients by looking for the Non-GMO Project Verified symbol (see below).

2. Certified Organic is Better Than Non-Organic

By purchasing certified organic foods, you’ll be rest assured that your food doesn’t contain any glyphosate-containing chemicals. Unfortunately, glyphosate use is so rampant, that some organic foods may contain small amounts of glyphosate residues (say, from neighboring crops). The good news is that organic foods contain much lower levels of glyphosate compared to their conventional counterparts.

3. Look for Glyphosate Residue Free Labels

The Detox Project, a research and certification platform that uses an FDA-registered food-testing lab to test for toxic chemicals launched their own “Glyphosate Residue Free” label. This label offers more transparency and assures the purchaser that they’re not getting any glyphosate in the food they’re buying. While these labels aren’t mainstream, the Detox Project is working with food manufacturers and grocery chains to get this label on more products.

Good cholesterol is not problem but white sugar is

Good news:
All you Lipitor users rejoice!

*Cholesterol* is finally officially removed from Naughty List. The US government has finally accepted that *cholesterol* is not a _nutrient of concern_. *doing a U-turn* on their warnings to us to stay away from high-cholesterol foods since the 1970s to avoid heart disease and clogged arteries.

This means eggs, butter, full-fat dairy products, nuts, coconut oil and meat have now been classified as *safe* and have been officially removed from the _nutrients of concern_ list.

The US Department of Agriculture, which is responsible for updating the guidelines every five years, stated in its findings for 2015: "Previously, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommended that cholesterol intake be limited to no more than 300 mg/day.

"The 2015 DGAC will not bring forward this recommendation because available evidence shows no appreciable relationship between consumption of dietary cholesterol and serum (blood) cholesterol, consistent with the AHA/ACC (American Heart Association / American College of Cardiology)

The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee will, in response, no longer warn people against eating high-cholesterol foods and will instead focus on sugar as the main substance of dietary concern.

US cardiologist Dr Steven Nissen said: _It's the right decision_. _We got the dietary guidelines wrong. They've been wrong for decades_."

When we eat more foods rich in this compound, our bodies make less. If we deprive ourselves of foods high in cholesterol - such as eggs, butter, and liver - our body revs up.

The Real Truth about Cholesterol. The majority of the cholesterol in you is produced by your liver. Your brain is primarily made up from cholesterol. It is essential for nerve cells to function.

Cholesterol is the basis for the creation of all the steroid hormones, including estrogen, testosterone, and corticosteroids.

*High cholesterol in the body is a clear indication which shows the liver of the individual is in good health.*

Dr. George V. Mann M.D. associate director of the Framingham study for the incidence and prevalence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and its risk factors states:
_Saturated fats and cholesterol in the diet are not the cause of coronary heart disease. *That myth is the greatest deception of the century, perhaps of any century*_

*Cholesterol is the biggest medical scam of all time*
There is no such thing as *bad Cholesterol*

So you can stop trying to change your Cholesterol level. Studies prove beyond a doubt, cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease and it won't stop a heart attack.

*The majority of people that have heart attacks have normal cholesterol levels.*

If the fat content is less in our food we eat, our liver
Got to work more to maintain the level at 950 mg.

*If the cholesterol level is high in our body, it shows the liver is working perfect.*

Experts say that there is nothing like LDL or HDL.
….. *Cholesterol is not found to create block any where in human body*.

Please share the recent facts about CHOLESTEROL

You are consuming cancerous vegetable oil.

All these cooking oils are processed to death with chemical solvents, steamers, neutralizers, de-waxers, bleach and deodorizers before they are bottled. If you read the label of any of these oils, you will find the quantities of carbohydrates, protein, fats, sodium etc. and their daily value percentage. But have you been told that this so-called vegetable oil which according to a US health authority, is fit for human consumption, also has very dangerous and toxic ingredients which have been used to process this product? No. Why? What you have not been told is that the “solvent” used to extract the oils is the Neurotoxin Hexane and it's literally bathed in it.
Hexane is a cheap by-product of gasoline production that is a serious toxic air pollutant. A lot of Hexane residue is left behind in the oil and guess what, the FDA does not require food manufacturers to test before residue! Residue tests done by the Cornucopia Institute in 2009 found Hexane residues in soybean oil. This is not limited to soybean oil, all vegetable oils (excluding coconut oil) have hexane residue in them. So including me, all of you have been eating hexane and feeding it to your loved ones too, all in the name healthy choices.
So one might ask “what about cold pressed oils”?
Although this traditional way of making oil is much healthier than Hexane, the big oil manufacturers don’t like the method because it is less effective (less oil is made) andmore expensive. The expeller pressing process can cause a lot of heat and make the oil go rancid, so some companies take it a step further and “cold” press their oils at no more than 26.66ºC to 48.88ºC. The term cold pressed is quite well-regulated in Europe but not very well regulated in the US and “cold pressed” oils could technically be made at high temperatures. In Asia, this regulation is pretty much non-existent.
Rapeseed oil has a lot of Erucic acid, which was known to cause Heart disease so they gave it a fancy new name of Canola. Canola oil still has good amounts of Erucic acid(more than 2%). In 1995, production of genetically engineered (GMO) rapeseeds began to be resistant to herbicides, and now almost all canola and soybean crops in North America are GMO. Most countries in Asia are generally following that path.
GMO Rapeseeds are heavily treated with pesticides. These are heated to unnaturally high temperatures that they oxidize and are rancid before you even buy them.
They are processed with a petroleum solvent, Hexane, to extract the oils. Then they are heated even more and some acid is added to remove any nasty wax solids that formed during the first processing. Then the oil is treated with more chemicals to improve colour. Unlike coconut oil and olive oil, these newly fangled oils have been extracted in the most unnatural ways.
At the turn of the 20th century, the amount of vegetable oils being consumed was practically zero. Today the average amount of consumption is 70 lbs a year, per person. You do not have to cook in these oils to consume them, they are in every conceivable processed food. Condiments, ketchup, health bars, chips, cereals… you name it and it has it.
I have a very simple attitude towards food, if a human packed it, don’t have it. Do not buy processed foods, make your own, fresh, from scratch. The excuse of time is basically cheating on yourself.
So why are these oils so dangerous you might ask? Okay, let me try to concise and simplify this explanation as much as I possibly can.
You need to have a ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 fatty acids to get optimum benefits. It is absolutely essential for your body to get these fatty acids from your diet but it must get them in a certain balance. When the balance of Omega 6 and Omega 3 is off, things can go horribly wrong.
Polyunsaturated fats tend to react with oxygen which can cause chain reactions damaging other structures and even vital structures like DNA. These fatty acids tend to sit in the cell membranes, increasing harmful oxidative chain reactions. Excessive consumption of vegetable oils leads to actual structural changes within our fat stores and our cell membranes. Eicosanoids, the signalling molecules made from enzymatic oxidation of Polyunsaturated fats, are pro-inflammatory and those made from Omega 3 are anti-inflammatory. Having a diet high in Omega 6 and low in Omega 3 is then a recipe for unimaginable disaster. Simplify it further and you get this – a diet comprising of vegetable oils (whether used directly in cooking or thru processed foods) will make you miserably sick and a diet with Ghee or coconut oil (without any processed food whatsoever) will keep your balance, mostly towards healthy.

Over consuming Omega 6 and under consuming Omega 3 will significantly increase:

Heart disease
Metabolic Syndrome or pre-diabetes
type 2 Diabetes
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory bowel syndrome
Macular degeneration (eye damage and blindness)
Rheumatoid arthritis
Psychiatric disorders
Autoimmune disease
Reproductive disorders
Low birth rate
Hormonal disorders
Kidney and Liver damage
I’ve not covered all of them, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Please banish these oils completely from your home: Canola oil, Soybean oil, Vegetable oil, Sunflower oil, Safflower oil, Peanut oil, Corn oil, Cottonseed oil, Grapeseed oil, Margarine, Shortening, any fake butter substitute.
Understand that if these oils are actually beneficial for anyone then its only the oil manufacturers, that’s it!
So what should you have instead? Indians please go back to your celestial blessing – Ghee.
The rest of you can get organic unrefined virgin coconut oil for cooking with heat and organic Olive oil as a cold additive to your foods.

Hair loss and growth-

This article is published in another site and this is a copy of that -
When it comes to preventing hair loss or improving the hair that someone already has, there are plenty of natural methods that help.
There are a variety of home remedies that people use to try and regrow their hair. However, it is important to remember that research to support such methods is not always extensive.

A study conducted in Japan showed that scalp massage could increase hair thickness. The men involved in the study had regular massages over a 24-week period, and while hair growth rate did not improve, thickness improved significantly.
Researchers believe that this could be to do with increased blood flow and direct stimulation of the cells.

While hair loss can be affected by nutrient deficiency, the exact links between diet and hair loss are complicated:
  • Iron: Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency in the world and is a known cause of hair loss. Women experiencing perimenopause and menopause are at risk of iron deficiency, as are vegans, vegetarians, and people with certain conditions, such as celiac disease. In a study on mice, the reversal of iron deficiency also leads to the restoration of hair growth.
  • Zinc: Zinc deficiency has a direct link with brittle hair, and increasing zinc levels also leads to the regrowth of hair. However, researchers do not know whether zinc supplementation would help those without diagnosed zinc deficiency.
  • Fatty acids: A deficiency in essential fatty acids can lead to hair loss on the scalp and eyebrows.
It is important to remember that there is a lack of research on the role of supplementation. Researchers do not know whether supplements will prevent hair loss in people that do not have nutrient deficiencies.
In fact, the over supplementation of certain nutrients, such as vitamin A, vitamin E, and selenium, can lead to hair loss.

There appears to be a direct link between stress and hair loss. Likewise, a shock to the system, be that through physical or emotional trauma, can also act as a shock to the hair follicles and they can stop growing.
In some cases, the use of red ginseng, which can be taken as a supplement, has been shown to promote hair growth.
Exactly why this happens is unclear, although researchers think it could be because of indirect stimulation of the hair follicles.
Before taking any supplements, it is important to ensure that they won't interact with any medication or existing conditions.

Fatty acid

The omega-6 fatty acid arachidonic acid has been shown to promote hair growth by helping to speed up the production of the follicles.

This natural hair growth supplement was shown to promote hair growth in women experiencing temporary thinning. However, a further study also showed its ability to decrease hair loss.

Geranium oil

The use of geranium oil as a treatment significantly promotes hair growth and can prevent hair loss. People can apply it by mixing a few drops into a shampoo or conditioner.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is widely used to treat damaged hair of various types. It significantly reducesthe protein loss in both damaged and undamaged hair as it can penetrate the hair shaft.
Coconut oil can be used as a pre-wash and a post-wash wash hair product.

Aloe vera

The use of aloe vera as a treatment for a variety of different things has been traced back as far as 6,000 years ago in Ancient Egypt.
One such treatment is for hair loss, and evidence has shown it has a soothing effect on the skin that can help alleviate certain conditions.

Rosemary oil

Using rosemary oil for at least 6 months has been shown in a study to increase hair count. However, many of the group experienced scalp itching as a side effect.

How to prevent hair loss-Onion

Onion is rich in sulfer, a mineral which promotes hair growth, and helps the micro blood circulation. Get a fast, quick and thick hair regrowth with onion juice the way we recommend in this video. Onion is rich in different minerals and vitamins, like vitamins E, C and B. Onion is a super food and can help you fight baldness when applied to the scalp and fight off hair fall. Onion juice can be successfully mixed with coconut oil, amla oil, jojoba oil and all the other oils mentioned in the video. Use lemon juice and essencial oils to get rid of the smell, along with rinsing your hair with apple cider vinegar organic. Use the onion juice on your hair for one hour, massage it gently on your scalp and then rinse with a good organic shampoo. You can apply onion juice to fight hair thinning, if your hair is oily, but don’t apply it directly on oily scalp. Onions are packed with 2 really amazing ingredients – Sulphur and Quercetin that can help your hair grow really fast. Our hair is made up of a incredible protein called keratin – which contains sulphur. The presence of this mineral gives hair its strength and power; while its lack may cause weak, brittle hair that breaks down. Sulphur also boosts blood flow, bringing food and nutrients to scalp – so hair can grow healthy, beautiful and strong. Onion contains alos folic acid and is a great alternative hair to combat baldness and alopecia. It can even work on alopecia areata, as many dermatologists say.

You never knew what Black pepper and cur cumin combination can do?

Curcumin is not well absorbed if taken by alone but adding quarter teaspoon of black pepper, curcumin levels skyrocket. The same amount of curcumin consumed, but the bioavailability shoots up 2,000 percent. Even just a little pinch of pepper—1/20th of a teaspoon—can significantly boost levels.”
Also use curcumin with fat. “Turmeric needs to be combined with a fat in order for your body to fully absorb it and experience its amazing health benefits. When eaten with healthy fats, such as coconut, ghee, or olive oil, curcumin can be directly absorbed into the bloodstream through the lymphatic system thereby in part bypassing the liver.”
You can also try heating turmeric, sauteing it in about half a teaspoon of oil in a saucepan and then adding it to your cooking.

Garlic - Anticancer properties of raw garlic.

Garlic is one of the veggies you should eat every day. It packs powerful compounds that destroy cancer cells, as confirmed by the American Institute for Cancer Research.
some of ailments you can treat with garlic:
  • Helicobacter Pylori infection
  • Candida (Yeast) infection
  • Thrush (Fungal overgrowth in the mouth)
  • Mycotoxin-associated aflatoxicosis
  • Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)
  • Klebsiella infection
  • HIV-1 infection
  • Vibrio infection
  • Pseudomonas Aerigonosima (and drug-resistant strains as well)
  • Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, multi-drug resistant Clostridium infection
  • Cytomegalovirus infections
  • Viral infections (Herpes Simplex 1 and 2, Parainfluenza virus type 3, vaccinia virus, vesicular stomatitis virus and human rhinovirus type 2)
  • Group B Streptococcus Infection
If you decide to try the garlic treatment, make sure you eat 5-6 crushed garlic cloves per day. You can eat more, if it works for you. One garlic bulb provides about 12 cloves.
Let our garlic rest for 15 minutes after you have crushed it. This is the time it takes for the release of the enzyme that produces the antifungal and anticancer compounds.
You can eat garlic with your food, both raw and cooked, but some researchers believe that garlic supplements does not provide the same anticancer and antifungal effect.
The biomedical database MEDLINE, released by the National Library of Medicine, offers 4245 study abstracts based on garlic.
This data confirms that garlic can help in the treatment of over 150 health conditions. This includes diabetes, infection, plaque buildups in arteries, DNA damage caused by mercury poisoning and other ailments.
Garlic can also help in 167 health conditions or symptoms, but most studies involve the power of garlic to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease and cancer. These are the two major causes of death in high-income countries. This research is available on
Cheap, safe and tasty natural remedies like garlic have saved so many lives. Logically, these remedies were as expensive as gold.

Cilantro and its antioxidant property

Ancient Indians were not fool treating diseases and preventing with herbs. One of that is we are talking about is Cilantro-
Cilantro is one of the most effective and gentle detoxifiers of heavy metals and other toxic contaminants. It is excellent for extracting mercury from your body’s organs. Heavy metals have been linked to serious health problems such as cancer, heart disease, brain deterioration, emotional problems, kidney disease, lung disease, and weak bones.

Cilantro is a rich source of minerals, such as potassium, calcium, manganese, iron and magnesium.  It contains high amount of vitamins A and K. It is also a proven antiseptic, antifungal and anti-inflammatory; it can help quickly reduce infection and inflammation as it works to clear your system.
Researchers at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi injected an antigen solution into the left hind paws of rats, producing inflammation and swelling similar to that seen in rheumatoid arthritis.

Polysorbate 80 is poison additive in foods

What is Polysorbate 80?
Polysorbate 80 is a common food additive that acts as an emulsifier, a solubilizer and a surfactant. It's generally - but not universally - considered to be a safe substance, although it may cause problems in special cases. One of these cases is in people with Crohn's disease. In this disease the lining of the gastrointestinal tract is inflamed. Polysorbate 80 may worsen the inflammation.
Recent research performed at Georgia State University has raised the idea that polysorbate 80 is not as harmless as is generally believed. The research suggests that the chemical changes the composition of the bacterial population in the intestine, promoting the growth of pro-inflammatory bacteria. These bacteria may cause mild gut inflammation even in people who don't have Crohn's disease. The inflammation may then increase the risk of a person developing metabolic syndrome. This syndrome involves a number of unhealthy conditions, which include obesity and insulin resistance. Insulin resistance increases the blood sugar level and is often a precursor to type 2 diabetes.
This group of Escherichia coli bacteria is magnified 10,000 times and colourized. Some strains of E. coli are normal inhabitants of our gut, or intestine. Polysorbate 80 may affect our gut bacteria, leading to inflammation.
Polysorbate 80 may affect gut bacteria in the human gastrointestinal or digestive tract.O

Polysorbate 80 - A Useful Chemical

Polysorbate 80 is a very useful substance in processed
foods. It creates a smooth texture and a great
mouthfeel. It also enables substances to mix when they wouldn't normally do so. Polysorbate 80 is added to health and beauty products, medications and vaccines as well as foods. It's often referred to an excipient in medications and vaccines. Excipients are substances other than the active ingredient that serve a useful function in a product.
IUPAC (International Union for Pure and Applied Chemistry) has established a naming system for chemicals. According to this system, polysorbate 80's real name is polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monooleate. It's a synthetic chemical that is sold in the form of a thick yellow liquid. The chemical is soluble in water as well as in several other liquids.

Polysorbate 80 as an Emulsifier

Polysorbate 80 is used as an emulsifier. An emulsifier enables oils to mix with water instead of staying separated. The emulsifier breaks up oil and fat into small droplets. The oil droplets don't dissolve in water, but they do form a fine dispersion which is appealing in food and
Emulsifiers enable us to enjoy food products such as creamy sauces, mayonnaise, margarine, ice cream and smooth chocolate. Egg yolk is a natural emulsifier, but it has the disadvantage of a short shelf life. Lecithin from soybeans is also an emulsifier.

Uncooked egg yolk is a natural emulsifier.

Polysorbate 80 as a Solubilizer and a Surfactant

Polysorbate 80 is a good solubilizer as well as a good emulsifier. A solubilizer is a substance which increases the solubility of one substance in another, allowing them
to mix. The term is often used to describe a substance that increases the ability of oil to dissolve in water.
Polysorbate 80 is also useful as a surfactant. A surfactant lowers the surface tension on the surfaces of liquids. Its name is a contraction of "surface active agent". The molecules at the surface of a liquid bind tightly to each other, producing the phenomenon known as surface tension. Surface tension creates a barrier that prevents some substances from entering the liquid. The barrier also makes it hard for the liquid to mix with other substances. Surfactants such as polysorbate 80 help substances to mix with other substances by reducing the surface tension that is keeping them apart.
Crohn's disease most often develops in the ileum at the end of the small intestine and in the part of the colon nearest to the ileum.

Polysorbate 80, Bacteria and Crohn's Disease

There have been several research projects that suggest a link between polysorbate 80 and Crohn's disease. One project of interest was performed by British researchers and reported in the British Medical Journal.
The researchers explored the effect of polysorbate 80 and soluble plant fibres on the movement of Escherichia coli into isolated human cells and tissue in a laboratory. Some strains of E. coli have been implicated in Crohn's disease. The scientists used M-cells in their experiment. These cells are one of the types present in the intestinal lining and may be the site of bacterial invasion.
The researchers found that polysorbate 80 increased bacterial absorption in both cells from Crohn's disease patients and cells from healthy people. The chemical had a greater effect on the cells from the Crohn's disease patients, however. Electron microscopy confirmed that E.coli had entered the cells. The researchers also discovered that fibre from broccoli and plantain decreased bacterial absorption in the intestinal cells.
The results imply that polysorbate 80 could worsen Crohn's disease by causing more bacteria to enter the intestinal lining. This may in turn increase the abnormal response to the bacteria and the gut inflammation.
