OCCASIONAL WINE,COCKTAIL,LIMITED AMOUNT ON WEEKENDS


Dark and Stormy, with Extra StormGinger brew and rum are a match made in heaven—we love this classic cocktail even in sunny weather. Lemon, lime, and candied ginger make for a very well-rounded drink.
 
EXTRA STORMY DARK AND STORMY
Ingredients:
2 oz. dark rum
Club soda
Lime wedge and candied ginger (for serving)
Preparation:
 
 
 
Combine Lemon-Ginger Brew and rum in a highball glass filled with ice, then top off with club soda. Garnish with lime wedge and candied ginger.
 
Alexis’ Bordeaux Sour
Warm-Weather Whiskey CocktailsInspired by a cocktail at New York’s Lafayette restaurant, this twist on a classic whiskey sour gets its fruity flavor and rosy color from muddled maraschino cherries and Lillet Rouge, the fruity red French apéritif wine enhanced with citrus and spices.
MAKES 1 COCKTAIL

INGREDIENTS
1 oz. lemon juice
1 tbsp. maple syrup
2 maraschino cherries, plus more for garnish
2 oz. whiskey
1 oz. Lillet Rouge
1 egg white
5 dashes orange bitters
1 oz. seltzer

INSTRUCTIONS
Muddle lemon juice, maple syrup, and cherries in a cocktail shaker. Add whiskey, Lillet Rouge, egg white, bitters, and ice; shake vigorously and strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Top with seltzer and garnish with a cherry.

Pawleys Rum Punch

Contributor Marshall Bright's father makes this boozy fruit punch for the family every year during their annual beach vacation in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. A sprinkle of fresh nutmeg on top compliments the molasses-like flavor of the rum. Use freshly squeezed orange juice—it adds a bright flavor the bottled stuff can't match.

Ingredients

1 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. fresh orange juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. gold rum
Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish 

Instructions

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake vigorously and strain into a punch glass. Top with grated nutmeg.

Plymouth Gin Tonic

Historically a two-ingredient drink garnished minimally with a simple lime wedge, the gin and tonic is today the subject of a creative renaissance.
MAKES 1 COCKTAIL

INGREDIENTS

3 strawberries
⅛ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1½ oz. navy-strength gin
4 oz. tonic 
INSTRUCTIONS-Muddle 2 strawberries and ⅛ tsp. freshly ground black pepper in a shaker; pour into an ice-filled goblet. Stir in 1½ oz. navy-strength gin. Top with 4 oz. tonic; garnish with a strawberry
 
Hierba Gin and Tonic

INGREDIENTS

1½ oz. dry gin
1½ oz. tonic syrup
4 oz. club soda
1 lime wheel, for garnish
1 strip orange zest, for garnish
1 sprig rosemary, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine 1½ oz. each dry gin and tonic syrup in a wine glass with 1 large ice cube. Add 4 oz. club soda; garnish with 3 whole pink peppercorns, plus lime wheel, orange peel, and rosemary sprig.

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp. smoked salt
2 tbsp. sugar
½ cup simple syrup
1½ oz. ancho chile liqueur, such as Ancho Reyes
½ oz. mezcal
½ oz. tequila
¾ oz. cherry liqueur, such as Combier
¾ oz. lime juice
¼ oz. agave
3 brandied cherries, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine salt and sugar in a food processor and pulse until fine; place in a bowl and set aside. Dip the rim of a rocks glass in simple syrup, then into salt mixture; set aside.

2. Combine ancho chile liqueur, mezcal, tequila, cherry liqueur, lime juice, and agave in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake vigorously and strain into prepared glass filled with ice. Garnish with cherries.
